Marya Propis Named IBA Elite Woman 2019 and NYCAIW Insurance Professional of the Year

Inspiring Future Women Leaders in the Industry

Congratulations to Marya Propis for being named as one of Insurance Business America’s (IBA) Elite Women 2019 and for being recognized by New York City Association of Insurance Women (NYCAIW) as Insurance Professional of the Year.

As an IBA Elite Women 2019 winner, Marya is recognized for making great strides for gender diversity in insurance. Having long been a fierce advocate for diversity and inclusion, emerging leadership, education, talent development, and women in leadership roles, Marya truly embodies the IBA description of a trailblazing woman making her voice heard and shaping a new future for insurance.

Each year the NYCAIW board selects an exceptional woman in the insurance and risk management industry to honor; recipients are presented with the Insurance Professional of the Year award at the May luncheon.  As the 2019 winner, Marya is recognized for her significant contributions to the industry throughout her career.  She has consistently demonstrated excellence, professionalism, integrity and a commitment to the advancement and development of leaders in the insurance and risk management industry.

In her role as All Risks, Ltd.’s Senior Vice President of Distribution and Broker Partnerships, Marya supports field distribution and sales initiatives, leading the execution of national growth, broker engagement, compensation, and strategic partnerships. She is also staunchly committed to the firm’s leadership development and diversity initiatives.

Marya has served on the Spencer Educational Foundation Board of Directors since 2012, and currently as Chairperson of the Board. She also serves on the Industry Advisory Council for Temple University’s Fox School of Business RIHM department; the Board of Trustees for Canisius College; and as a board member at large for Disabled Sports USA.

NYCAIWNYCAIW is a non-profit association of insurance professionals made up of women and men dedicated to the development of leaders in the insurance industry through education, networking, and charity.  NYCAIW members represent all facets of the insurance industry including agents, brokers, risk managers, claims professionals, attorneys, consultants, accountants, insurance educators and others involved in the industry.
