All Risks, Ltd. is proud to announce that Jim Higgins, Senior Broker, has been named a 2019 insurance industry “Young Gun” by Insurance Business America (IBA).
As stated by IBA, the Young Gun award spotlights the most driven and hard-working professionals aged 35 and younger “who are inspiring their peers with their expertise and passion for the industry.”
Jim graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served as an Army infantry officer for eight years before joining All Risks’ Denver office in 2015. In just four years, he has earned seven industry designations and has firmly established himself as a Senior Broker who consistently approaches his clients with a partnership-first mentality to deliver creative solutions to complex construction risks.
Jim credits the strong work ethic he learned in the military and his insatiable drive to constantly improve as traits that have served him well in his insurance career. “I always tell my retail brokers that I worry about the things I can control. There may be other competitors that have been doing this type of work two decades longer than me, or have more designations than me, but I always promise them that I will not be out-worked. There is no one out there who will work harder for them than I will,” states Jim.
Jim has been instrumental in the growth and expansion of the firm’s Denver office which has over 30 staff members. He and his team primarily focus on residential and commercial OCIP/CCIP and project-specific construction risks, as well as annual practice policies and all other construction-related General Liability risks. He received All Risks’ New Broker of the Year Award in 2018.
“This is a people-oriented business and what motivates me to secure the best coverage at the lowest possible premium is knowing that behind the distressed, unique risks we see in the E&S wholesale sector are people who are taking a chance on their dreams or trying to save their businesses so that they can support their families,” explains Jim.
Jim has distinguished himself very quickly in the industry, not only by becoming a subject matter expert in construction risks and wraps, but by his commitment to establishing partnerships with his retail agents through honesty, transparency and responsiveness.
