Glenn Petersen Named to Insurance Business America Top Specialist 2020 List

All Risks, Ltd. is proud to announce that Glenn Petersen has been named to the Insurance Business America (IBA) Top Specialist Brokers 2020 list for his expertise in Builder's Risk.

According to IBA, this annual award recognizes “specialist brokers who are proven leaders in their field and serve as valuable resources for retail brokers seeking expert insurance advice for their clients’ unique and difficult-to-place risks.”  Glenn joins Wes Baker, specialist in ocean cargo/stock throughput, and Hunter Patten, specialist in challenge course and zip line construction, as All Risks, Ltd. recipients of the award.

Glenn's builder’s risk specialty was born out of his love for construction.  While he may not be a general contractor or developer, in his own way, Glenn plays an important role in the construction of new buildings and the renovations of older structures.

He has been amassing his builder’s risk knowledge since he began his insurance career in 1989 as a loss control specialist and underwriter.  His experience in the field is invaluable and gives him strong credibility with his carrier underwriters.  Glenn has inspected thousands of businesses and has had the opportunity to speak with business owners first-hand to learn which risk control techniques are average and which ones are above average.

“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned during my career is that you can never be complacent.  There is always more to learn.  I think that this is true in life as well as in brokering business.  You have to remain sharp and focused because that is what customers demand and deserve.”

Glenn demonstrates his builder’s risk expertise every day on every submission he receives.  He closely examines construction budgets line by line to make certain insureds are protected from potential losses and are not paying a premium for unnecessary coverage.  He analyzes the values and evaluates whether the terms indicated are adequate to complete projects.  If it’s a phased project, he may recommend permission to occupy coverage.  He checks sub-limits and questions his clients to ensure they fully understand the coverage.

Glenn has been evaluating risk in the field and behind a desk for 30 years.  His knowledge and expertise make him a valued resource to his retail agents and coworkers.  He does his homework on every submission to ensure the best possible coverage and least amount of risk for insureds.
